Keystone was established in Hong Kong in 1969, under its previous name Keystone Industrial Co. Ltd., Keystone's main product lines include copper wire, Low Voltage Power Cable, Control Cable and Telecommunication Cable.
Keystone's constant efforts to upgrade its quality standard and expand its product lines led to the formation of a joint venture with Phelps Dodge Corporation (PDC) of United States of America in 1991. PDC is the second largest copper producer in the world, after the Chilean Government. PDC subsidiaries companies, Phelps Dodge International Corporation, has over 17 cable factories in 16 countries. With their technical collaboration, Keystone has improved its production management and advanced its manufacturing technology to include the latest state of the art equipment.
Currently, Keystone has three factories with a combined area of over 180,000 sq.ft in Hong Kong. In early 1994, Keystone started a new expansion project to develop a 350,000 sq.ft factory in Dongguan, China. In December 1996, BASEC, UK has awarded Dongguan Keystone ISO 9002 certification.
